Mark, like most DJ’s started off playing in his bedroom in his late teens having been bitten by the dance music bug at an early age. Mark started out with a pair of Vestax PDX2000 turntables and a bunch of his older brothers records, learning to mix with music from the likes of BK & Nick Sentience, Les Hemstock, Gouryella, Agnelli & Nelson and Mauro Picotto. At this time CDJ’s were starting to take over and, seeing the possibility of being able to play a wider array of music, Mark did not delay in getting his first pair of CDJ800′s with a DJM500 mixer, keeping the Vestax turntables for some years before finally passing them on.

Spending the next 2-3 years making monthly mixes and posting them on various music websites would eventually pay off and Mark played his first ever event at local night Relapse, promoted by Ian Booth in 2008. Since then Mark has played many venues throughout Ireland such as the famous Tripod, The Vaults, The Kitchen, Sin, The Button Factory (TBMC) alongside some of the worlds top Trance DJ’s including Sean Tyas, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Gareth Emery, Marco V, Marcel Woods, Thomas Bronzwaer, Simon Patterson, Bryan Kearney, Paul Webster, Kamui & Scot Project.

In 2010 Mark released his first single “Never Mind” on Spinnin Records’ 2Play label, with a remix by Indecent Noise to complete the package. Shortly after followed “Alaska” on the same imprint with remixes from fellow Irish DJ’s Tom Lavin & Adrohan providing a tech remix and Ethan McKinney providing a Bronzwaer’esque take on it.

Next up in 2011 was arguably the track that catapulted Mark to fame. “Dropshot” on Bryan Kearney’s Kearnage Records, was the first 140 BPM Tech Trance track to feature a full Dubstep drop. This track divided opinions and destroyed dance floors all at once, spawning a whole new style of Tech Trance in the process which itself has been evolved by the likes of Indecent Noise & Sean Tyas. All labels initially declined to sign Dropshot citing that they liked it but it was just too different. Kearnage however had no such reservations and immediately signed it up specifically because it was something fresh and innovative. Remixes came in from Reaky and Kearney himself with a John O’Callaghan edit quickly becoming an overnight Tech Trance anthem.

In early 2012 Mark Released Guiding Light, also on Kearnage. Gaining the support of John O’Callaghan on his Subculture compilation as well as from Armin Van Buuren on ASOT. This was also featured on Kearney’s Passion compilation. Guiding Light was released with a remix from Matt Skyer and the original track earned the number 1 spot on the Trackitdown top 100 Trance tracks on the week of it’s release.

Within 3 months John O’Callaghan debuted Mark’s latest offering “Whatever Happens” at ASOT 550 in LA. John edited the track to include the vocals from Puzzle Piece during the breakdown to jamieG1create an epic vocal Trance track. This would later be released as part of the package with an Arctic Moon remix on John’s own Subculture label. Whatever Happens went on to be included on no less than 8 Armada music compilations including Paul Van Dyk’s Vandit compilation and Subculture 2012, as well as multiple plays on ASOT & Vandit by Armin and Van Dyk respectively. All three mixes were top 20 tracks on Beatport with the Puzzle Piece mashup making it to number 6 for more than a week.

Mark made his UK debut at Send Off in September 2012 and currently holds a residency in his native Dublin at Irelands biggest monthly Trance night, Letrik. 2013 started on a high with the news that Mark would be playing at Global Connection at the Winter Music Conference in Miami FL.
